We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
ABOUT OUR HOST
Dr. Gloria Frederick is a lifelong democrat, born in Durham, NC. Her earliest memories are being taken by her parents to watch them vote.
She is a lifelong advocate for social justice and equality. She marched for voting rights and civil rights in her teens and can't believe that now 50 years later, "we're having to do the same thing over again."
As a community development professional and public servant for more than 30 years, she has seen first hand how people, working together, can change themselves and their community.
Dr. Frederick brings that same commitment, concern and energy to this podcast recognizing that change NOW and pushing back against the current status quo is essential for the well being of ourselves, our community and generations to come.

Is a community activist with more that thirty years in community and economic development, specializing in neighborhoods and communities empowerment.
She is Experienced in nonprofit develop, management training, education and strategic planning and is founder of the Institute of Wonderful Women Working for Empowerment, a non profit providing financial and academic support for low income older students entering the nursing profession.
Through this podcast, Dr. Frederick looks forward to sharing stories from experts on how we help voters understand the power that they have to change things and in this very traumatic time when we think we've gone as far as we can go, as a community, we renew our strength, support each other, take courage and push back and never, never give up.
We want coastal Carolina to know and use the power that is within each of us.

Now an Onslow County doctor, once the only Black physician in Jacksonville, Williams reflected on those experiences shaping his career and ensuring all receive equitable treatment.
Dr. Williams won the James M. Whittico MD Health Advocate Award at the end of March, an award given to physicians who have dedicated time to go out in the community and help with medical issues. He created the Old North State Medical Foundation, what Jacksonville City councilman Brian H. Jackson called a coalition of other organizations to serve the needs in the community.
